Stop losing teaching time to unnecessary admin

Issue a merit or demerit in under 30 seconds. No paper. No chasing. No guesswork.

“As Deputy Principal, I have found the PBIS merit and demerit system to be a highly effective tool in promoting positive learner behaviour and accountability. The system is practical, easy to implement, and ensures consistency across the school, while also recognising academic achievements and learner effort. Since implementing the system, I have noticed improved learner engagement, better behaviour management, and increased teaching time.”

Sound familiar?

Every day, teachers across South Africa are losing minutes they’ll never get back – to paper diaries, inconsistent records, and parents who only hear about problems when it’s too late.

The Pain Points:

Paper diaries vanish.

They’re forgotten, lost, or conveniently “left at home” – behaviour records disappear before they ever reach the office.

Logging incidents take time

Every interruption to issue a merit or demerit is time stolen from a lesson.

Positive behaviour goes unrewarded

If rewarding good behaviour takes as long as logging bad behaviour, teachers stop doing it.

Parents don’t always hear about incidents

Parents are often unaware of behaviour issues until it’s too late.

SMTs are making decisions in the dark

Without consistent data, patterns go unspotted and early intervention never happens.

The PBIS system has been incredibly effective in supporting both positive behaviour and accountability at our school. The QR code feature makes logging merits or demerits quick and simple. Within seconds of scanning a learner’s code, the incident is recorded and parents receive an email notification. This immediate communication keeps parents informed and more involved in their child’s behaviour.

The system is easy to use, especially the bulk QR code feature, which allows multiple learners to be scanned at once. I often use this to award merits for homework completion, responsible monitors, consistent effort and achieving 80% or higher in assessments. Merits and demerits are automatically totalled and milestones (e.g. 50+ merits) are recognised.

Overall, the PBIS system has been a valuable addition to our school and has made behaviour management far more efficient.

The Value Proposition

Benefit 1: Save Teaching Time
Merits/demerits take under 30 seconds, not minutes.

Benefit 2: PBIS-Aligned Reinforcement
Reinforce positive behaviour, reduce disruptions.

Benefit 3: Parent Engagement
Immediate notices keep parents informed.

Benefit 4: Data-Driven Decisions
SMTs can spot patterns school-wide.

Transform Behaviour Data Into Action

LearnerLink doesn’t just log behaviour – it offers insights:
• Recurring patterns by learner or class
• Day/time behaviour trends
• Teacher usage consistency

“This program is an absolute game-changer! It has saved me at least an hour per day allowing me to focus on more pressing tasks.  The PBIS system has been efficient for all users and I couldn’t imagine going back to our previous program! Definitely a must!”
